MBChB Intercalation (Master in Research Medicine)

Jacqueline has been interested in lab-based research after an internship done at the CUHK, as she believes it’s the basis for scientific advancement in the medical field. She would also like to encourage those who are interested in research to take this opportunity and discover their passion.

Project title: Optic Nerve regeneration

The project is related to neuroscience and ophthalmology. Using immunofluorescence staining techniques, the changes after nerve injury and after treatment can be observed.

Expectation on mentees: Interested in research and conducting experiments, ask questions whenever they like

What can you learn from being a mentee: Jacqueline will be able to guide mentees through the progress of my current project, from experimentation to thesis writing. There may be some hands-on experience and regular casual meetings to share research experiences. She can also provide any research-related advice to the mentees! Mentees can also learn some research skills like project planning, data collection, data analysis through this project.
